Valeria at Sozopol Beach

Working again with Valeria is always a rare and rewarding experience. Despite her limited time in Bulgaria, she brings a natural confidence that transforms the shoot into something immediate and focused. This session at Sozopol beach was about capturing that raw presence against the timeless coastal backdrop.

The choice of PhaseOne camera paired with the Elinchrom ELB 400 lighting system was deliberate. It allowed us to balance natural light with subtle, controlled flashes that sculpt the contours of Valeria's face and body without overpowering the scene. The wind teasing strands of hair adds a dynamic element, contrasting with the stillness of the sea behind her.

The styling is pared back but effective, a simple black and white bikini top paired with white pants, echoing the monochrome mood and emphasizing form over distraction. This look speaks to those who appreciate minimalism in fashion photography, where the model’s presence and the environment find a quiet dialogue.

For art directors and designers looking for location-based fashion shoots in Bulgaria, this is a reminder of the creative potential found in natural settings combined with high-end gear. The PhaseOne and Elinchrom ELB 400 pairing remains a reliable choice for outdoor portraits, especially where light needs to be shaped delicately.
